Sunrise Rollerland Rules


Welcome to Sunrise Rollerland. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all Guests, please respect the following rules:

  1. All persons, bags, parcels, clothing and other items may be subject to screening/security checks within our building and at entrances to Sunrise Rollerland.
  2. We reserve the right not to allow any bag, parcel or other item to be brought into Sunrise Rollerland, and to deal with any unattended object in such way as we consider appropriate.
  3. Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Employees by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior. For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running or skating fast in carpeted areas.
  4. Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times Clothing that drags the ground is prohibited. Clothing with multiple layers is subject to search. We reserve the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that we consider inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests. Visible tattoos that could be considered inappropriate, such as those containing objectionable language or designs, are not permitted.
  5. For the comfort of all Guests, smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapor or smoke are not allowed at Sunrise Rollerland.
  6. Please supervise your children at all times. Guests under age 14 must be accompanied by a Guest age 14 or older to enter Sunrise Rollerland.

Admission Tickets and other passes bought in your name are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable, and revocable and void if altered.


The following items may not be brought into Sunrise Rollerland:

  1. Recreational devices such as drones, remote control toys, skateboards, scooters, hover boards, and shoes with built-in wheels.
  2. Alcoholic beverages, marijuana or any illegal substance.
  3. Suitcases, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high (61cm x 38cm x 46cm).
  4. Weapons of any kind, or objects that appear to be weapons (also including toy blasters, squirt guns, etc.).
  5. Folding chairs.
  6. Selfie sticks (hand-held extension poles for cameras and mobile devices).
  7. Large tripods.
  8. Outside food or drink. Glass containers (excluding small containers such as baby food jars).
  9. Pets or other animals, except approved service animals e.g., dogs and miniature horses. Service animals should remain on a leash or in a harness and under the control of the owner at all times. Animals held, on seats or tables will be asked to leave. No service animals are allowed on the skating surface.
  10. Other items that we determine may be harmful or disruptive.


The following activities are not allowed:

  1. The sale of goods or services or the display of goods or services for sale.
  2. The distribution of printed or recorded materials of any kind.
  3. Unauthorized events, demonstrations or speeches, or the usage of any flag, banner or sign for commercial purposes, or to incite a crowd.
  4. Photography, videotaping, or recording of any kind for commercial purposes.
  5. Engaging in any unsafe act or other act that may impede the operation of Sunrise Rollerland.


  1. We may photograph, film, videotape, record or otherwise reproduce the image and/or voice of any person who enters Sunrise Rollerland and use the same for any purpose without payment to any person.
  2. We reserve the right to deny admission, or to require a person already admitted to leave Sunrise Rollerland, without refund, liability or compensation if we consider that the circumstances so require.
  3. Please review or current skating schedule for additional rules.

Sunrise Rollerland FAQS


Do you charge for parents to watch?


NEVER on regular skating sessions. We’re happy you are here! NOTE: Occasionally charitable organizations that host fundraisers at Sunrise Rollerland will charge every person (adult or child) that is admitted.


If my friends are coming to skate, do I need to pay if I’m only going to hang out?


Everyone entering (with the exception of parents watching their children) must pay the applicable admission and skate rental fees.


Do you offer group rates?


Yes! We offer group rates for groups of 10 or more people  We may or may not be able to offer group rates on certain weekends , please call for inquiry or check the rates here. Group Rate Link.



What size skates do you rent?


From juvenile size 6 to adult size 14.


Can I bring my own skates?


Yes. We allow all kinds of regular roller skates and inline skates.


Can I wear my Heelys?


Sorry, because Heelys do not have wheels in the front and back and are not intended for “roller skating” they are not permitted.


Do you sell skates and equipment?


Yes! The Pro Shop is loaded with the latest skates, novelty toys and glow products.



What goes on at a public skating session?


Most sessions are set-up with a variety of special skates: All-Skate, the dice game, Races, Backwards, Cha Cha Slide, Hokey Pokey, and the buddy skate.


If my child doesn't skate well, can I walk on the floor to assist him/her?


During public skating sessions we only allow guests with skates on to enter the skating floor.


How old does your child have to be to skate?


There is no age limit, we have skates as small as toddler’s size 8


Can I skate with my child during tiny tot skate?


Yes anyone is welcome ,Its just recommended for smaller ones because of the music selection we play during that time.


When is the best time to come for a beginner skater?


It’s usually slower after school during the Thursday or Friday skate from 4-6 pm Or Saturday from 10 - 12:30 am


Where can I get lessons for my child?


Right here at Sunrise Rollerland. We have an experienced coaches who has been teaching many years! Group classes are available as well as private instruction. Visit the lesson page for more details.



What forms of payment do you allow?


Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, Diners club


Do you have an ATM?


No, but you can get $20 cash back when paying with your debit card at the ticket office


Can I pay with a check?


Sorry, we do not accept personal checks.



Can I rent Sunrise Rollerland privately?


Yes! We offer private events on select days of the week.


How far in advance do I need to make party reservations?


As a rule of thumb, Group rate Parties should be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance but if we have an opening you may book the same day. Private Parties require at least 30 days to as much as 6 months.



Do you sell food?


Yes! We have a snack bar that sells Pizza, Hot Dogs, Pretzels, Nachos, French fries & Popcorn. We also offer Coca Cola products and ICEES.


Can I bring in food from the outside?


The answer is No Outside food is allowed.


Do you sell alcohol?


No we do not, nor do we allow it.



Do you take requests for songs?


Yes. Our DJ will make every effort to get your favorite song on! (Please note: not all music is appropriate for all sessions. If you ask the DJ, he or she will tell you if we can play a song.)


What do you play on the Giant Video Screens?


During open public skating sessions we play music videos, movie clips, and special effect videos. During Exclusive Parties, we play anything you’d like: video montage, wedding video, corporate training video as well as music videos and more!


What kind of music do you play?


We play all the current hits; however, all of our music is edited and clean. We also will take requests.



Do the games take quarters or tokens?


Quarters. They are available in the change Machine.



Do you sell Gift Certificates or Gift Cards?


Yes we sell Gift Cards. They can be purchased anytime the office is open or during public sessions. Minimum amount of $10 please.


Will you donate something to my child’s school auction?


Yes! Sunrise Rollerland is happy to donate products/services to non-profits. Please send a written request on your organization letterhead stating the name and date of the event and the nature of your request. Please do this 60-90 days before your event, a shorter notice is possible but not guaranteed. Send or drop off request to Sunrise Rollerland at 6001 Sunrise Vista Dr. Citrus Heights, CA.


Does Sunrise Rollerland do cash sponsorship?


Yes! Any non-profit is eligible to do a fundraiser with us. We donate up to 50% of the proceeds back to your organization.


Do you have WI-FI?


Yes, we have free wireless internet.


Is there more than one Sunrise Rollerland?


No. Sunrise Rollerland is the Only Roller skating rink in California.


Are you Ice Skating?


No we are a Roller Skating rink.


Do you have lockers?


Yes they are.50 each use. They accept Quarters.


Do I have to wear a helmet?


No you do not have to wear a helmet. You may bring a helmet if you choose to.


Do you have a monthly or yearly pass?


We have a summer pass, which is usually good from the end of May until the end of August. We do not have a yearly pass.


Do you have a dress code?


Appropriate attire is required at all times. No shirts with Obscene gestures or obscene words. Sunrise Rollerland management reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone not meeting the dress code.
